Ace Ventura and Michael Bolton

Yesterday, after our test in Phys over the heart, several of us were standing outside, smoking and trying to figure out the answers to some of the questions we were unsure of.

R____ inquired about a question that asked "Which of the following does NOT speed up the heart rate? a) Epinephrine b) Norepinephrine c) Acetylcholine d) Thyroid hormones"

W___, a skinny little wisp of a fellow, blurted, "It's acetylcholine. I'm pretty certain about that one because, for some reason, whenever I think of acetylcholine, I think of Ace Ventura hugging a big anatomical heart, and for some reason, that reminds me that acetylcholine is parasympathetic and relaxing. Don't ask me why."

R___ and I just looked at each other like WTF and busted out laughing.

And then R___ told a story about one of his friends getting punished by her dad, and how it entailed him stomping on her Michael Bolton cassette tape.

It was a strange night.
